Tender beginnings for jazz from the Baltic Sea coast were already made in the last years of the GDR. Since then, dedicated musicians have ensured that jazz is also taught and cultivated in the country's music schools. A number of excellent jazz bands with outstanding soloists have been formed here and have made a name for themselves beyond the borders of the federal state. Not only bands and big bands come together here regularly, but also entire jazz orchestras. This federal state is too big for competition between musicians and Veranstaltungen .
