Rock music has always been their passion: Christa, Claus, Wolfram, Dieter, Klaus, and Stefan. “Fonie,” which stands for “sound,” was chosen to complete the band’s name. In 1979, a group of enthusiasts—including Wolfram Löser (guitar) and Klaus Müller (drums)—founded this band. They got their start with rock classics and original songs (which were released, among others, on the Amiga label). This was followed by TV recordings and guest performances both in Germany and abroad. A Queen tribute!? That spirit was revived in 2017. Since then, Dieter Siegmund has been on keyboards. A trained musician who has collaborated with Joy Fleming, among others. On bass is Stefan “Grete” Weiser (who worked as the solo bassist for the Radio Big Band Leipzig and as a lecturer at the HMT Leipzig). After guest performances in Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, and elsewhere......Claus Kulisch takes the mic for Rockfonie. He’s a graduate of the HMT Leipzig. Christa Löser wasn’t just brought in to “spice things up” for the sake of diversity. For years, she toured both at home and abroad with Musikservice Leipzig.
Since then, Rockfonie has been touring the country with their Queen cover show. Initially, they performed in small clubs, but over time the stages grew larger and the audiences grew larger. The numbers on social media platforms attest to this. This would be unthinkable without a lighting and sound concept. Jan Marc Below (sound) and Andreas Matusche (lighting design) are the experts in this field. The group has its own high-quality event technology (sound, lighting, laser design) on hand (up to 1,000 attendees—no problem).
