    Hochuferweg 2.0

    For many trekking enthusiasts, the Hochuferweg on Rügen along the chalk coast is a highlight. The views of the vastness of the Baltic Sea and the imposing chalk cliffs are simply unique. People often hike from Sassnitz to the Königsstuhl. However, the second section, from the Königsstuhl to the small harbor town of Lohme, is at least as charming and is still an insider tip with its narrow paths through the beech forests along the shore. The round tour, which is only about 8 kilometers long, can be perfectly combined with a visit to the Königsstuhl National Park Center at the end.

    Stages: 1 day The 3.5 km SpurenWeg nature discovery trail between Kratzeburg and Dambeck is suitable for blind and visually impaired hikers. Information boards along the way explain in Braille how the interaction of man and nature has shaped this landscape. An accompanying booklet to the SpurenWeg in Braille is available for loan at the National Park Information in Kratzeburg.

    The starting point of the tour is the parking lot Sundische Wiese. On the paved dike it goes 8 kilometers in the direction of Zingst and further to the wheelchair accessible viewing platform Pramort in the National Park of Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft. In spring and autumn, an orchestra of thousands of cranes awaits nature lovers here. On guided tours, experienced rangers accompany guests with limited mobility and activity along the asphalt dike path to the resting places of the elegant birds and reveal a lot of interesting facts.
