The approximately 2.5 km long circular trail is located in the southwest of the Schlosskoppel. Not far from the Franzosensteig trail, it crosses the Grand Duke Georg circuit. The hike leads along an insect meadow to the highest point of the Schlosskoppel, the Marienhöhe. This picnic area was already a popular destination for Grand Duchess Marie (1796-1880) in the 19th century, which is why the hill bears this name. You return to the starting point via the former bull stables, where there is also a rest area.
