But the spot has cult status due to the "Ferry Wave Surfing": When every two hours a ferry from Denmark arrives in the harbor, it brings small but fine wave sets that can be ridden cleanly with SUP or longboard.

    Surfspot North Beach Cape Arkona

    Cape Arkona at the northernmost point of the Island of Rügen is only for the hardy. With winds of 4 Beaufort or more from northwest to east, mighty Baltic Sea waves roll against the steep coast. Rocks lurk everywhere in the water, and when the wind blows from the north, extreme windward congestion occurs.

    Surfspot Kreptitz

    Windsurfers are among themselves here. Kiting is prohibited. On the offshore sandbanks the waves break very cleanly and on strong wind days easily three meters high. You will have the most fun with sideshore from west-southwest. The standing area is narrow. Rocks lurk everywhere under the water surface. Therefore: experts only!

    Surfspot New Mukran

    In Neu Mukran you can park directly in front of the beach and spend the night. Here, the waves pile up to three meters high on the offshore sandbank. Sideshore wind from the northeast provides creamy conditions. Also east is still relaxed to surf. On the somewhat rocky shore you have to expect moderate shorebreak.
