Program
: Since 2025, the NDR Big Band has had Nikki Iles as its principal conductor. The British jazz musician and composer is known for a modern, groovy sound that has already earned the ensemble a nomination for the German Jazz Prize. She particularly loves the perfect interaction between musicians and the audience, and with her full-length composition “The Shadow of a Dream,” she takes the orchestra and guests on a shared journey into the groove. Johanna Summer, Lucienne Renaudin Vary, and Jakob Manz will also be making guest appearances on this grand evening and, together with the NDR Big Band, will bid farewell to the 2027 Festival Spring.
