The nature conservation station has an exhibition that introduces interested visitors to the natural habitat Recknitztal with numerous display and information boards, overview maps, exhibits and taxidermy. The exhibition informs about the origin of the Recknitz valley and the valley moor, the existing habitats and the animal and plant species living here and their change through human use up to the renaturation in the recent past.

For many trekking enthusiasts, the Hochuferweg on Rügen along the chalk coast is a highlight. The views of the vastness of the Baltic Sea and the imposing chalk cliffs are simply unique. People often hike from Sassnitz to the Königsstuhl. However, the second section, from the Königsstuhl to the small harbor town of Lohme, is at least as charming and is still an insider tip with its narrow paths through the beech forests along the shore. The round tour, which is only about 8 kilometers long, can be perfectly combined with a visit to the Königsstuhl National Park Center at the end.
