In collaboration with the State Research Institute for Agriculture and Fisheries, the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve invites locals and visitors to a special hike through the salt marshes near Thiessow.
The meeting point is at the Thiessow harbor on October 10 at 10:00 a.m.
During the approximately three-hour hike, participants will learn what makes the salt marshes so special and why managed grazing and water in the landscape are so essential for the preservation of these unique habitats.
Please be sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes.
