Swedish singer-songwriter Sofia Talvik is an artist who captivates her audience with quiet intensity and great stage presence. With her warm, clear voice and her fine sense of atmosphere, she creates concerts that are both intimate and impressive. Sofia Talvik has released ten studio albums to date, many of which have reached top 10 positions in the American folk radio charts. Although Sofia Talvik is often alone on stage, her concerts are anything but minimalist. With her sensitive guitar playing, rhythmic percussion, which she creates with her cowboy boots, and her clear, floating voice, she creates a surprisingly full and lively sound space. Her voice is reminiscent of the great singer-songwriters of the 70s such as Joni Mitchell and Judy Collins - warm, expressive and with an almost ethereal quality. This special combination of musical virtuosity, rhythm and voice makes every concert an intense and extraordinary live experience that goes far beyond a classic solo concert.
Although most of her own songs are in English, Sofia Talvik likes to surprise her audience with a few Swedish folk songs.
