Karlshagen chalk festival
Under the distinguished patronage of JANOSCH, children’s book author and “father of the Tiger Duck,” the Karlshagen Chalk Art Festival takes place annually in the summer on the beach promenade. The goal of the several hundred participants is to transform the area into a giant, colorful, summery work of art using chalk.
A picture drawn by JANOSCH in Tenerife specifically for Karlshagen once again adorns the posters for this year’s brightly colored festival.
Chalk will be available free of charge to all participating artists, young and old, upon registration starting at 11 a.m. Anyone can join in—regardless of age, whether with family or friends. In addition to great prizes for the most creative artists, guests can look forward to an equally colorful family program and small contests throughout the event.
11 a.m. – 4 p.m. REGISTRATION: Participation & chalk are free
(Each participant will receive a certificate / Tourist Information Office – beach forecourt)
A detailed program will follow.
