An exciting bat-watching excursion featuring interesting facts and ultrasonic detectors in the Rerik Coastal Forest.
As darkness falls, it’s time for the bats to come out! Together with the German Association for the Environment and Nature Conservation (BUND), we’ll set out on a discovery tour of the Rerik Coastal Forest.
To start, participants will learn fascinating facts about bats, their way of life, and conservation efforts. Afterward, a short excursion into the coastal forest will allow us to spot these nocturnal animals in their natural habitat.
A special experience: Ultrasonic detectors make the bats’ calls—which are normally inaudible to us—hearable.
