Our vacation home ... was built around 1640. It was built exclusively from natural building materials such as field stones, clay, wood and straw. With its thousands of years of history, clay is one of the oldest and best building materials and is now back in fashion. Clay earth ensures a healthy climate in the house. Clay earth absorbs water and releases it again. It also has the ability to store a lot of heat: Our vacation home is warm in winter and has a pleasantly cool climate in summer. The building was once used as a home for day laborers, individual farmers and farm workers.
