The “Vorpommern” traditional ship is operated by Sozialarbeit Vorpommern gGmbH.

The historic ship Vorpommern is a schooner 17.6 m (21.2 m) long and 5.6 m wide that was built in 1950 as a fishing cutter. Its total sail area is 150 m². There are ten berths available in two rustic cabins. After being converted into a schooner in 1996, the ship was put back into service. Its home port is the Greifswald Museum Harbor. During the summer months, cruises are offered throughout the Baltic Sea region. Fishing trips are also available.

Wiecker wooden bascule bridge

The Wieck wooden bascule bridge connects the two districts of Wieck and Eldena in the Hanseatic City of Greifswald. It was built in 1887 following the Dutch model. The bascule bridge crosses the River Ryck. The river flows into the Dänische Wiek, part of the Greifswalder Bodden. The bridge is only accessible to cyclists and pedestrians and is only opened when necessary. During the approx. 10-minute bridge crossing, visitors can observe how the old monument works.

You can reach the spot via the campsite, where you can also take a shower and, of course, pitch your tent. Beginners will find a large standing area in Loissin. Experienced surfers will be happy about the fantastic shallow water conditions. The spot works with wind from west to northeast.
