    Varchentin Castle

    In 1847, the Swiss architect Meuron built the enormous mansion in the style of English Tudor Gothic for the Hamburg merchant Jenisch. A large double-sided chimney and an imposing wooden staircase have been preserved from the time of construction. A large Lenne park stretches to the Varchentin Lake. A mausoleum is located in the park.
