Located on 2. Enge Gasse in Schwerin's Old Town, the small ILKA Eis shop draws customers from April through October with its handmade soft-serve ice cream made from natural ingredients.

From April to October, the little ILKA Eis shop located in the narrow, cobbled alleyway called “2. Enge Straße” of the old part of the town of Schwerin entices customers with handcrafted soft-serve ice-cream made from natural ingredients.

Each day, the staff at ILKA Eis make delicious soft-serve ice-cream from fresh ingredients. What makes this particularly special is that the ice-cream is produced using over 30-year-old “ILKA Eisfreezer” machines from the former GDR. These machines were restored and modernised before being put into operation once again. Only natural ingredients, such as real chocolate or various fruits, are used to make the ice-cream flavours. The shop completely dispenses with the addition of any colouring agents or artificial flavourings.

The shop is located in “2. Enge Straße”, a quaint little alleyway not far from the market square. Ilka Eis is open daily from April to October. The classic flavours of chocolate/vanilla are always available, while additional flavours vary from day to day: whether gooseberry & meringue, pear & walnut or strawberry & quark– which one will be your favourite?
