Interesting insights into the life of bees are offered by the educational and show garden of the Bantin Beekeeping Center, located between Wittenburg and Zarrentin.
Visitors to the bee educational and display garden can obtain extensive information here throughout the year about beekeeping, the pollination benefits of bees and related insects, and how to design gardens and grounds with bee pasture plants. More than 150 different plants that rely on insect pollination can be viewed throughout the year. Important natural cycles and relationships are also explained. Also interesting is a small exhibition of beekeepers' tools from the past and present. Regular events with honey tasting are offered at the apiary center.
