    Lakes tour

    • Length: 18 km
    • Duration: 3:00 h

This tour is suitable for all weather conditions due to the nature of the path. It takes you around the Haussee and the narrow Luzin. The starting point is the parking lot at the Kurpark in Strelitzer Straße in Feldberg. Follow the road along the park over a pedestrian and cycle bridge, then follow the road uphill to the Waldhotel Stieglitzenkrug. From there, a paved cycle and hiking trail leads you around the Haussee lake. At the natural stone Kneipp basin fed by the Marienquelle spring, you can refresh yourself in the spirit of Kneipp before the ascent to the Reiherberg hill invites you to enjoy a unique view over the Haussee lake and the town basin. At the Seerosenkanal you come back to the country road, which you follow to the left on the cycle path to Wittenhagen. In Wittenhagen, you have the opportunity to learn lots of interesting facts about the formation of the landscape on the Ice Age nature trail, which is approx. 2 km long. The tour continues past the Hullerbusch nature reserve with the Luzin ferry, a hotel and a sheep farm with a farm store. From there, the path is lined with rough grass meadows and blackthorn, which are grazed by the sheep from the local sheep farm. After around 3 km, you reach the village of Carwitz, where the writer Hans Fallada ran a small farm with his family from 1933-44. Today, the Hans Fallada Museum in his former home tells the story of his life and creative period in Carwitz. At the end of the village, you return to the cycle path alongside the road, which takes you back to Feldberg via Neuhof.
