The Goldenbow manor house is one of the oldest manor houses in Mecklenburg. However, the building, which has been in ruins since 1984, was saved and has been under reconstruction since 2009. Today, the manor house can be experienced at various events. At the edge of the Biosphere Reserve Schaalsee lies the small village Valluhn. Directly at the entrance to the village is the Trakehnerhof, where about 80 horses have their home.
