From June to August, you can expect more than 700 hours of sunshine in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The sun shines and there is a gentle breeze. The relaxed climate is perfect for sunny hours by the water and ideal if you want to go out with the family. Take a deep breath and enjoy the summer – Summer in MV ranges from cool to hot.

How about a little Radtour along sparkling lakes and through shady coastal forests, for example? Simply get on your bike, roll off on the mostly flat routes and stop along the way wherever it's nice to have a picnic, splash around and skip stones over the water. 3. cool heads on guarded beaches

Whether lakes or Baltic Sea beaches – many Beach sections and bathing spots are supervised by lifeguards. This gives you a safe feeling – and your kids the freedom to discover the water without a care in the world.

Plashing, digging, building sandcastles –and you? You can simply relax and enjoy the moment while the chattering mice circle above you.

4. cool temporary home

Young captains snuggle up on Hausbooten in the bunks, knights and princesses dream in real slippers, and little robbers romp around on the , in the vacation home or at the campsite. And of course there are also many certified hotels with lovely family offers waiting for you.

With so much choice, you are guaranteed to find the home that suits your favorite vacation – cozy, colorful and full of little stories that you absolutely have to tell later.

5th largest "sandbox" in Germany

Flat beaches for building castles, collecting shells and flying kites – secluded, but easy to reach by bike or directly on the with fish sandwiches, fries, ice cream and drinks for small and large swimming breaks.

With around 2,000 kilometers of coastline and just as many lakes, everyone can find their own personal favourite beach spot.
