The basic idea of the exhibition deals with upcycling, playing with sustainability and artistic transformation. On the one hand, I present musical instrument fish - large, imposingly colorful, harmonious - and on the other, shoe character heads - imaginative, touching.
Thus, two movements meet in this exhibition: the deep, sea-like nature of the musical instrument fish and the playful, humorous nature of the shoe character heads. Both are expressions of transformation: sound becomes form, use becomes character.
- The shoe character heads take us into the world of humor. Every shoe bears traces, stories and memories. They are unique, an expression of our personality. This is how character portraits are created, the "Pink Lady", the "Librarian", the "Wolfseber". They are personalities between everyday life and fantasy - figures that the viewer encounters with a twinkle in their eye.
- Musical instrument fish are fabulous fish reliefs in which you can discover wonderful details from old musical instruments. Musical instruments that were played by virtuosos at concerts or on which amateurs practiced and dreamed of a large audience. The result is, for example, the "Steinway Whirling Fish" or the "Blue Wonder". Each piece has a past and becomes something new and special through artistic transformation.
