From September through October, amateur artist Ingrid Pietschmann will be exhibiting a selection of her works on the theme of castles and churches in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern at the Municipal Museum in Grevesmühlen.
Ingrid Pietschmann, 68 years old and a resident of Tramm in northwestern Mecklenburg, is deeply passionate about oil painting. Painting has been a part of Ingrid Pietschmann’s life for many years and is far more than just a hobby to her.
She particularly values the sense of community she shares with other art enthusiasts. Since the summer of 2005, Ingrid Pietschmann has been meeting regularly with the painting group “Die Mittwochsmaler” in Dassow.
In the exhibition at the Grevesmühlen Municipal Museum, Ingrid Pietschmann presents a selection of her works. A particular focus is on her home region of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Through her oil paintings, she captures characteristic places and buildings of the region. On display are, among other things, depictions of manor houses, castles, and churches in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Her paintings not only depict the architecture itself but also convey a personal perspective on the landscape and the special places of her homeland. The diverse motifs clearly illustrate the artist’s deep connection to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Ingrid Pietschmann’s works will be on display at the Grevesmühlen Municipal Museum from September 1 through October 24.
