Germany's largest fire department museum with over 16,000 exhibits welcomes you to an exhibition area of 4,500 m². It presents the history of the fire department from its foundation to the present day in a clear and tangible way.

Unique in Germany is our museum with an international orientation. The exhibition is arranged in thematic, country and time windows. Experience the social history of firefighting and the technical development of firefighting on a tour through all eras. Unique in Europe is the respiratory protection exhibition with a historical respiratory protection training facility, which children can also discover and try out for themselves. 112 vehicles, trailers and large equipment show the constant development of fire fighting and human rescue. Children experience the fire department up close and in a playful way.

The offer is completed by guided tours, a store and a bistro. For details and opening hours, please refer to our homepage, which is always up to date.
