Such a fitness vacation keeps you fit and counteracts numerous health risks - even 30 minutes a day is enough to get the entire body going. A sports vacation also strengthens muscles and bones, and stimulates the cardiovascular system and hormone production, among other things. To customize your fitness trip at the seaside and inland, well-signposted cycling and hiking trails, sports beaches, climbing forests and much more will entice you.
Power training with sea energy
The woman has power - in every respect. During personal training on the Baltic Sea beach, Anita Heß shows her customers how to get fit on vacation for everyday life at home. And have fun at the same time.
Her power is in her movements, in her positive charisma, in her laughter: Anita Heß, 43, is a real energy bomb. "Strong, healthy, happy" is the motto of the personal trainer from Bad Doberan. She swears by strength exercises that prepare her for everyday life and make it easier. Fitness for gardening, lugging groceries and crates of drinks - that's what Anita wants to achieve with her clients. The reigning German champion in powerlifting and Miss Universe in figure bodybuilding 2010 is also a trained Pilates instructor and nutrition coach.
Anita particularly enjoys training with her clients on the beach at Warnemünde - the sand is an ideal surface and the water gives extra energy, Anita finds. Together with her team of expert trainers, the power woman is also organizing the "Womens Feel Good Day" in August 2022 on the beach at Strandresort Markgrafenheide. Until then, she has already compiled her favorite exercise tips for the beach vacation.
The training session consists of four different exercises: The standing deadlift , also known as the "single leg deadlift," strengthens the rear thigh and gluteal muscles. The squats (" squats") activate 400 different muscles. The Reverse Lunge(also known as "back lunge with arm lift") is all about working the butt and thighs without putting any stress on the knees. Finally, the "plank with shoulder taps" is ideal for strengthening the center of the body and thus enables powerful functional movements in everyday life and sports.
Fitness exercises in sports vacation
- Aqua gymnastics and aqua fitness
A sports vacation can be made joint-gentle and yet varied with aqua fitness and aqua gymnastics. While aqua fitness focuses on stamina and endurance, aqua gymnastics mainly aims at strengthening the musculoskeletal system. Wellness and sports hotels use pools with waist- to chest-deep, pleasantly warm water as a therapy location. While the gentle pressure of the water has a relaxing effect on the entire body, aqua fitness and aqua gymnastics also promote breathing, circulation and the cardiovascular system, and are good circulatory and fat-burning training.
- Nordic Walking
On sports vacations in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern you will find many specially developed routes for Nordic walking. This sport, which originated in Scandinavia, is one of the most popular in Germany. Originally practiced by cross-country skiers, biathletes and Nordic combined athletes in the summer as fitness training, this training method has proven to be extremely beneficial to health. It challenges the cardiovascular system and stimulates the metabolism. Nordic walking also has a positive effect on muscles and bones, and incidentally helps people lose weight. For indications such as osteoporosis, high blood pressure, diabetes or back pain, this outdoor sport is ideal and also carries a low risk of injury.
- Beach hiking
A vacation at the Baltic Sea includes long walks on the beach. Enjoy the sun, feel the warm sand under your feet or let the strong wind blow around your nose in cooler seasons. While listening to the sound of the sea, you can indulge in your thoughts, find peace and quiet and, by the way, recharge your batteries.
Along dunes or cliffs you can breathe deeply. This strengthens the lungs and cardiovascular system. While you marvel at the landscape or search the beach for finds, you get moving and are amazed at how quickly a planned walk becomes a beach hike. By the way, many coastal resorts offer guided beach walks all year round.
