World Book Day campaign in the library
On World Book Day, the Uwe Johnson Library invites children and families to read, listen and join in. The "Kinderland" book daycare center will be coming in the morning and in the afternoon there will be action for everyone: two children's readings at 3 p.m., during which exciting and funny stories will be read aloud. One for the little ones and an interactive picture book story on the big smartboard for the older ones.
Folding cards can be printed on the "Tischnudel", a 100-year-old proof press. Here you can see how printing was done in the past - with a real press, printing ink and paper. Every child can take home a self-printed folded card. World Book Day is celebrated every year on April 23 and is a reminder of how important books, stories and reading are for children all over the world.
