Three masterpieces of quartet literature combine to create a multifaceted concert evening: Joseph Haydn's famous "Bird Quartet" opens the evening with subtle wit and a lively tonal language, allowing the classical form to shine with playful lightness. Alban Berg's "Lyric Suite" then leads into a completely different world of sound - intense, mysterious and of great emotional depth, infused with hidden messages and passionate expressiveness. The final piece is Robert Schumann's String Quartet in A minor op. 41 No. 1, a work full of romantic energy, intimacy and poetic drama. The three works invite you on an exciting journey through three epochs.
