The line - Paul Raddatz

The special exhibition shows Paul Raddatz's artistic development, which is deeply rooted in his exploration of the line. Already influenced in his early childhood by his grandfather, the painter Helmut Schulze, Raddatz discovered his passion for art. His involvement with graffiti, in which the line played a central role as a creative element, was particularly influential. This formed the basis for his later works, which were increasingly created on canvas and in experimental forms.

Since 2020, Paul Raddatz has pursued a consistent technique in which his works are created entirely from a single, continuous line. The line is not just a formal tool, but the unifying principle of his entire artistic process. It forms the basis for abstract and minimalist works that manifest themselves in spatial installations and large-scale paintings.

The exhibition "The Line" offers a unique insight into the fascinating world of Paul Raddatz, which is permeated by the simple but powerful idea of the line - as a formative element and as the unifying principle of his artistic practice.
