Vernissage of the joint exhibition - Art in dialog of the Northern Lights - Ten artists, ten handwritings, one common passion
After successful joint exhibitions, the artists' colony "Die Nordlichter" is now inviting you to its next major joint exhibition in Velgast. Under the title "Art in Dialogue of the Northern Lights", ten artists will present their works in the "Small Gallery under the Roof" in Velgast from July 10 to September 18, 2026.
Visitors can expect an extraordinary encounter with the most diverse forms of expression in contemporary art. Each of the exhibiting artists brings their own personal view of the world, their own signature style and their own individual themes. It is precisely this diversity that makes the exhibition so appealing.
From atmospheric landscapes and fascinating nature motifs to expressive abstract works and experimental and interdisciplinary works, an exciting artistic dialog is created. The exhibition impressively demonstrates that art does not thrive on uniformity, but on diversity, individuality and the creative exchange of different perspectives.
The artists' colony "Die Nordlichter", which is based in the MV-Kunstgalerie am Mammutbaum in Marlow, has developed into a lively network of creative people since its foundation. Painting, literature, photography, sculpture, music and multimedia art meet here as equals and inspire each other.
Visitors can look forward to works by ten members of the artists' colony, which together provide a multifaceted insight into the current artistic work of the Northern Lights.

"Kunst im Dialog der Nordlichter" invites you to discover art, engage in conversation and get to know the people behind the works. It is precisely the differences between the individual artists that make this exhibition a special experience - and perhaps every visitor will find their own personal favorite work.
