Irina Scherbakowa reads from her book "The key would still fit". The new book by the renowned and award-winning historian, publicist and writer Irina Scherbakowa tells of the brief years of perestroika.

Irina Scherbakowa, born in Moscow in 1949, is co-founder of the human rights organization Memorial, which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2022. She has lived in exile in Berlin since the start of the war in Ukraine.
