Joint exhibition of the artists' colony - the Northern Lights in the St. Thomas Church in Tribsees. A place full of light, sound and inspiration.
Art in dialog
2nd joint exhibition of the artists' colony - the Northern Lights
St. Thomas Church in Tribsees
May 13 to July 12, 2026
The Artists' Colony - the Northern Lights invites you to a special space with its second joint exhibition "Art in Dialogue": St. Thomas Church in Tribsees. For two months, a place of silence, history and contemplation will become a stage for contemporary, vibrant and multi-layered art.
Under the guiding principle of dialog, not only do different artistic styles meet here - rather, a field of tension is created between expression, emotion and interpretation. Art enters into a relationship: with the space, with the viewer, with itself.
The Northern Lights artists represent an impressive variety of styles, techniques and artistic approaches. The spectrum of this exhibition ranges from representational painting and abstract compositions to experimental and multimedia works. Each work is an expression of an individual artistic personality - and at the same time part of a larger whole.
In the special atmosphere of the church in particular, the works unfold an additional depth. Light, space and silence interact with the art and open up an intense, often very personal perception for the visitor. This turns a visit to the exhibition into an experience that goes beyond mere viewing.
The Künstlerkolonie - die Nordlichter is a free association of artists who have made a conscious decision to work together, exchange ideas and inspire each other. Without institutional ties, but with clear artistic aspirations, the group pursues the goal of making art visible, tangible and accessible.
The following artists are taking part in the exhibition:
- Gudrun Adrian / Westerholz (honorary member)
- Kathy H-Teufel / Marlow
- Mara Sophie Stefanski / Malchin
- Claudia Mucha / Vergast

- Halvar Maurice van Bierk / Malchin
- Tobias Biering / Tribsees
- Michael Hube / Alt Gutendorf
- Wolf Herondis Marlow
Each Nordlicht presents one to three selected works, creating an exhibition that is both varied and concentrated. The compilation allows exciting insights into the respective artistic position and invites visitors to discover differences and similarities.
"Art in Dialogue" is not just an exhibition, but an invitation: to pause, to perceive, to exchange ideas. Visitors are invited to engage with the works, develop their own thoughts and perhaps also gain new perspectives.
The official opening of the exhibition will take place on May 19, 2026 at 17:00.
The exhibition ends with a finissage on July 7, 2026 at 17:00.
Separate announcements will be made for both events.
The artists of the Northern Lights are looking forward to engaging in conversation with visitors - directly on site, in a shared experience of art.
