Songs & chansons with the PAUL BARTSCH AKUSTIK-TRIO
The Halle singer-songwriter Paul Bartsch and his musical companions Sander Lueken (keyboards, vocals) and Thomas Fahnert (guitar, violin, vocals) have been on the road together for more than twenty years. PAUL BARTSCH & BAND's first CD, "Bruchpiloten", was released in 2003. "Dreams in your head, anger in your stomach and warmth in your heart" - that was the verdict of the press at the time on the "catchy tunes with a high level of content". In 2023, the double CD "STADTMUSIKANTEN ... stimmen ihre alten Lieder an!" offered a representative cross-section of these two decades of song & chanson. And now it's all about that theater between the world stage and everyday life, in which we all get involved, and preferably not just as extras!
As a generational companion of Gundermann and Wenzel and having grown up with the rebellious songs of the group Renft, Paul Bartsch is once again putting his finger in the wounds of our time with his new songs, without sacrificing poetic melancholy and defiant optimism. True to the motto "Songs build bridges on which one can meet", the musical-literary program for the current CD presents clear words to a fresh mix of folk, rock, blues and chanson. In close contact with the audience, a poetic and hopeful concert is created that wants to make the world a little brighter, friendlier and warmer: "Enough printing and twisting around, it's easy to understand: enough words have been exchanged - let's finally see action"!
