Works by the Gingst-born composer J. N. Eggert and his contemporaries W. A. Mozart and J. Haydn.
Concert with works by the Gingst-born composer Jochim Niklas Eggert. Eggert was the son of a cobbler, the child of freed serfs and later Picht's pupil. The pastor wrote about his educational reforms in 1806: "Through the increasingly improved organization of the school, not only have a considerable number of people been trained to become capable craftsmen or sailors, but there have also been geniuses among them who have worked their way up to become musicians in the Royal Chapel in Stockholm (...)".
Prof. Stefan Hempel (HMT Rostock, violin), Petra Schwieger (Staatoper Berlin, violin), Prof. Simone von Rahden (HMT Rostock, viola) and Aleke Alpermann (Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, violoncello) will perform works by the Gingst-born composer J. N. Eggert as well as by W. A. Mozart and J. Haydn.
