Marianne Farrère is considered the richest woman in the world. She is also quite intelligent, a beautiful woman and full of power. Pierre-Alain Fantin, a Parisian dandy between typewriter and camera, meets her at a photo shoot. This unexpected encounter gives rise to a close friendship that causes not only amazement and astonishment, but also a great deal of irritation. One of the reasons for this is that Pierre-Alain is now being showered with money. So while the public puzzles over the bizarre relationship, the new closeness causes unrest in the couple's immediate circle: Marianne's daughter Frédérique in particular is suspicious of the charismatic companion, whose relationship with money is as passionate as his appearance.
