Siblings in concert
with Lucas Pellbäck (tenor), Hansine Pellbäck (violin) and Hermann Pellbäck (piano)
Works by Hugo Alfvén, Johan Helmich Roman, Alice Tegnér, Wilhelm Peterson-Berger, Laura Netzel / Niccolò Lago, Wilhelm Stenhammar, Adolf Fredrik Lindblad, Otto Olsson, Carl Leopold Sjöberg, Gustaf Nordqvist
The Pellbäck siblings are a phenomenon. In 2022, they opened the Queen Silvia Concert Hall in Stockholm in the presence of Queen Silvia of Sweden, and Hansine performed on stage for Anne-Sophie Mutter at the Polar Music Prize Gala when she was just fifteen. All three emerged musically from the special programs of the Stockholm Lilla Academies. Lucas is now continuing his studies at the Mozarteum Salzburg, while Hermann is Artist in Residence at the Ingesund College of Music.
Their concert on Usedom is a declaration of love to the music of their home country Sweden, to the baroque splendor of the "Swedish Handel" Johan Helmich Roman, to the vital open-air romanticism of Wilhelm Peterson-Berger and to the country, which was so progressive that women were already able to expose themselves as composers in the 19th century - even if Laura Netzel wisely published her first works under the pseudonym "N. Lago" before she dared to use her own name a decade later. An evening full of joyful surprises!
