Portraits of Life
This afternoon, with a view of the waves of the Baltic Sea, is entirely dedicated to the Quatuor Hermès and its artistry. In 2013, the French quartet won the Ensemble Prize at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival and has returned to the region regularly ever since—now at the invitation of Kit Armstrong for the Rügen Spring Festival. The rich sound of the quartet, with its four string players and today’s program selection, promises to be a special experience.
