June is the peak season for collecting wild herbs, as many plants are particularly aromatic and rich in vital substances due to the many hours of sunshine. Important species include St. John's wort, yarrow, goutweed, lime blossom, ribwort plantain and elderflower. Young leaves and flowers are ideal for salads, teas or medicinal oils. During a guided hike through the Heidberge near Teterow, Ms. Gudrun Marin-Ziegler will introduce you to various seasonal herbs. The participants will collect them together and then learn how to prepare tasty dishes from them. There is a charge of 5 euros per person for participation.
The meeting point for the hike is on Saturday, June 13 at 10 a.m. in the parking lot of the "Uns Hüsung" restaurant. Please wear sturdy shoes to meet the requirements of the hike. The event will not take place in bad weather.
