A Variety of Sounds at Kummerow Castle: The kultur.schule’s Traditional Teachers’ Concert
On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., kultur.schule invites you to its traditional teachers’ concert in the Garden Hall of Kummerow Castle.
The audience can look forward to a diverse program that spans several centuries and brings together different musical worlds. Baroque and Romantic works meet 20th-century music, jazz, and singer-songwriter artistry. The program alternates between solo performances and various chamber music ensembles.
The program includes compositions by Antonio Vivaldi, George Frideric Handel, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Franz Schubert, Frédéric Chopin, Henryk Wieniawski, Olivier Messiaen, and John Rutter, among others. Jazz sounds will fill the Gartensaal with Claude Bolling’s “Sentimentale” from the Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio, as well as Olexander Saratskyi’s “Jazz in the Carpathians.” Songs for voice and guitar add another musical dimension to the program.
From piano solos to a duo for violin and piano to an ensemble featuring flute, piano, double bass, and percussion, the evening promises a multifaceted concert experience. Familiar melodies, such as the first movement from Vivaldi’s “Spring,” are featured alongside less frequently heard works and new discoveries.
The teachers’ concert has become a firm tradition in the kultur.schule’s annual program. It showcases the school’s wide stylistic range and creates space for collaborative music-making, new combinations, and musical encounters.
