. Sternfeld Station, with its renovated freight shed, is set to become a special place for encounters, conversation, and culture. Where goods were once stored and trains now stop, a space has emerged where stories, thoughts, and artistic processes find their way. The place itself symbolizes movement and transition—the coming, going, and pausing that accompany every form of encounter.
The concept “Sternfelder Waggon—Music, Conversations, and More” combines performance with storytelling itself—the stories behind the works, as well as the experiences, doubts, memories, and perspectives of those involved. Each event thus becomes a small stop on a shared journey, a moment of pause in cultural and human exchange.
Whether on stage, on television, or in the movies: For over three decades, comedian Tom Gerhardt has captivated his audience. His most popular characters have become ingrained in the national consciousness: first and foremost, the bow-legged, narrow-minded “Hausmeister Krause” and the cheerfully dim-witted “Tommie” with his bobble hat.
