A short evening program featuring songs and a story in the church before the lantern parade with St. Martin on horseback. Afterward, a cozy get-together around the fire pit with hot drinks, cake, soup, and bratwurst.
A tradition during the " Gast-Geber-Woche": During the parades, children and adults walk through the streets of villages and towns carrying lanterns; they are often accompanied by a rider on horseback who, dressed in a red cloak, portrays Saint Martin as a Roman soldier.
