The Theater Putbus Friends Association is continuing its popular series of "Foyertreffs" with Hanne Petrick, a painter from Altenkirchen on Rügen.
As a young woman, Hanne Petrick was drawn to the sea. She was able to fulfill her dream of living there in Altenkirchen, where she set up her own studio and gallery in a blue wooden house.
The path to becoming a freelance painter was long, rocky, and punctuated by interruptions. For 18 years, in addition to her job as a set designer, she was active in a “Visual Arts” cooperative in Rostock and, during that time, took courses at the Academy of Graphic Arts and Book Design in Leipzig.
Hanne Petrick has been working as a freelance painter and graphic artist since 1989.
For her, living with and in nature is the greatest joy. Petrick: “There is nothing richer, greater, or more powerful for me. That’s where I’m happy, where I find peace and come into my own—that’s where I’m completely myself.” You can visit the painter at the blue wooden house in Altenkirchen to see her paintings and perhaps even purchase one. She offers painting classes on Rügen or Bornholm.
An opportunity to get to know Hanne Petrick and strike up a conversation with her.
The conversation with the painter will take place at the Putbus Theater.
