A themed tour through Rostock's old town
Most of the city's streets were buzzing. People lived and worked here, selling their goods and services - including to the merchants. Their long-distance trade made the city large, powerful and rich, as can be seen from the magnificent town houses and representative churches as an expression of their faith, as well as the Hanseatic cogs in the harbour. However, the wealth of some generated the poverty of others. This also led to conflicts.
Martin Eilitz guides you through some of these streets and explains that bygone world.
The approx. 90-minute tour costs 5 euros (reduced rate 4 euros) per person.
The meeting point is Kröpeliner Tor.
