This book explores these questions through 17 personal profiles. The authors give a voice to women who have taken very different paths and work in a wide variety of areas within the Bundeswehr. They talk about fighting and leading, about caring for others and mentoring, about responsibility, team spirit, and unique challenges. They share moments of doubt and perseverance, of recognition and resistance—and what it means to find their place in a traditionally male-dominated institution.
The book gives a voice to those who have long been part of the Bundeswehr: women who pursue their careers with dedication and conviction, who take on responsibility, embrace challenges, and contribute to the image of the Bundeswehr in their own unique ways. Their stories are personal, candid, and diverse. They show how differently military careers can be experienced—and at the same time offer insights into a world of life and work that is largely unknown to those outside the Bundeswehr.
