After the fall of the dictator Ben Ali, Selma returns to her home country of Tunisia and opens a psychotherapy practice. After initial skepticism on the part of a few, the population's need to talk after the revolution is surprisingly great. As the premises for Selma's own practice are still a long time coming, she has no choice but to see her patients on the roof of a residential building. And there she is soon visited by the most colorful and chaotic characters Tunis has to offer.
But Selma doesn't just get an impression of the people in the sessions, she also meets many people in normal life who pour their hearts out to her. At the local beauty salon, she meets the very emotional owner, who has a mother complex, an imam who suffers from depression and her feminist niece, who has had a traumatic visit to the hairdresser and therefore likes to wear her headscarf for a change.
