The Lexow manor house is located in the middle of the Mecklenburg Lake District. For many centuries, the estate (and the village) belonged to the Dobbertin monastery. The house was built for the tenant in 1874. Unlike prestigious manor houses with halls and bay windows, the almost square architecture focuses on practical use. Carefully renovated, the house now houses B&B rooms, apartments and a restaurant, and regularly hosts cultural events and art exhibitions.
