Program Saturday, 20.06.2026 11 a.m. | 1 p.m. | 5 p.m. Guided tours of the house 3 - 5 pm Coffee, cake and delicious sodas in the manor kitchen and on the terrace
The Zarchlin manor house, built in 1879 amidst old trees and endless fields on the outskirts of the small village of Zarchlin, tells an exciting (building) story from the outside to the inside. From its origins as the home of the landowner's family to its function as a town hall, consumer goods store and venue for parties and celebrations during the GDR era. Since 2017, the house has been renovated in line with its listed status. Always with a view to the former building tradition. The original windows were restored and painted with linseed oil paint, the walls were plastered again with clay and lime and the old floorboards and half-timbered beams were refurbished.
