Instead of bread rolls, cheese and muesli, a novel by a Nobel Prize winner in literature once a month?
On each of the five mornings, I will present a novel for discussion and provide background information on the work and the author. The participants discuss the books on the basis of selected passages from the text. The focus is not on literary aspects, but on conversation and the willingness to engage in dialog and contribute their own interpretations of the novels that everyone has read in advance. These texts - read in advance by the participants - are the starting point; no further prior knowledge is required. Curiosity and openness are more important than intensive preparation.
