A comedy in Low German by Dietmar Jacobs and Moritz Netenjakob
You can’t even die in peace anymore. Actually, the funeral service for company CEO Gernot Steinfels had been perfectly planned. The congregation has gathered, the pastor is ready, and the wreath is in place. Then a heated discussion breaks out among the executive team at “Feinwäsche Steinfels GmbH.” That’s because the text on the wreath’s ribbon—“In deep mourning, your employees”—makes some of the company’s female employees feel left out, and the marketing department also fears a social media firestorm. However, Horst Bohne, the soon-to-be managing director, doesn’t want to give any ground to such “wokeness” as the gender star. And so a war of words breaks out between boomers and Gen Z, between feminists and conservatives, over #MeToo, sexist corporate advertising, body-shaming…
The writing duo Dietmar Jacobs and Moritz Netenjakob—known, among other things, for the series *Pastewka* and winners of the Grimme Prize for *Stromberg* —once again cast a critical yet thoroughly humorous eye on the current social debates of our time, following their successful comedy *Extrawurst *.
