Skulpture and code-art / Skulptur und generative Malerei // April 11, 2026 4:00 pm Vernissage // Music: live electronic music by Holger Lippmann
Holger Lippmann (*1960) is much in demand for his art, which he himself calls E-Art, and is represented in numerous exhibitions.
As soon as the trained painter Holger Lippmann picks up his pen, he realizes that he is missing something: the wealth of possibilities that his computer program runs through with him within a very short space of time. And if he doesn't find the idea that takes him further, Holger Lippmann can easily return to the starting point. A creative luxury that he has created himself...
Holger Lippmann developed the computer drawing programs especially for his work. He uses them to compose filigree structures and abstract geometric patterns, which he can overlay and vary...
Lippmann then combines various such compositions to create new works. "My inner process is the same as it was when I was still working with paint and canvas," says Holger Lippmann. "That's why I like to call my work today digital painting or computer-aided painting."
