The WANDERKINO is a mobile movie theater founded by Tobias Rank in 1955.

Since then, this mobile silent movie theater has been on the road throughout Europe in a specially refurbished vintage fire engine. It integrates the entire cinema, sound and lighting technology.

Silent films of various genres are projected using historical 16mm projection technology: slapstick, monumental and experimental films.
All films are accompanied by live music with different instrumentation.
Any location can be transformed into an open-air cinema in no time at all. An atmosphere reminiscent of the pioneering days of cinema is created.

Nosferatu - A Symphony of Horror is a German feature film from 1922 by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau in five acts. The silent film is an - unauthorized - adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel Dracula and tells the story of Count Orlok, a vampire from the Carpathian Mountains who falls in love with the beautiful Ellen and brings terror to her hometown of Wisborg.Nosferatu is considered one of the first representatives of the horror film and had a major influence on the genre with its visual design. At the same time, with its demonic main character and its dream-like mise-en-scène reflecting tortured states of mind, the work is considered one of the most important works of cinema of the Weimar Republic. The film was supposed to be destroyed after losing a copyright dispute in 1925, but survived in various edited versions and is available today in several restored versions.

The composer and pianist Tobias Rank studied piano, composition, harpsichord and improvisation at the Leipzig Academy of Music.

As a solo pianist and accompanist, he has given concerts in Spain, Mexico and Southeast Asia.

From 1992 to 2013, Tobias Rank was a lecturer in piano and song composition at the Leipzig University of Music and Performing Arts.

Tobias Rank has been giving concerts with his LITERARY CHANSONS since 2018.
