Dear Audience, our new show is here! After tackling the tax system and the healthcare system, this time we’ll be focusing on communication.
Communication. A big promise. And that goes for tonight, too. Promise!
Brigitte is an unemployed children’s book author. Sure, these days AI writes all that stuff. She’s a little envious of her oldest friend, Gala. Gala is an influencer and rakes in money like hay—all without any real content. But then, suddenly, a job offer comes from the Black-and-White House. An extraordinary event has occurred and is plaguing the president: an egg is floating in the air above his Oval Office. But luckily, he’s read Brigitte’s children’s book, *There’s an Egg Hanging in the Air*, and hires her as an egg expert… He must act now, because the egg has already gone viral.
Googlehupf, FinstaKram, and the like have unleashed their alligatorithms to profit from the “users’” fears…
Now the challenge is to explain this situation to the public in a way that keeps everyone from freaking out. Will Brigitte manage to find the “right” words? Do such words even exist?
Every act of communication is unique. It’s no coincidence that the word “unique” is already embedded in the word “comm-UNIQUE-ation”! But much is conveyed without words … And then there’s only one thing that helps: singing. You can’t sing and be afraid at the same time!
Together with musician Jonathan Bratoëff, we’ll attempt—quite obviously reading between the lines and drawing on Schulz von Thun’s communication theories—to say a lot and yet very little about what you should know about communication.
We look forward to connecting with you—completely nonviolently, of course.
Warm regards, Judith Jakob and Melanie Haupt
