Guided tour of Müritz - Two kilometers of history

On an approximately 2 km long tour through the district of Müritz, you can trace the development of the Baltic health spa from the time of the Mecklenburg prince Henry the Lion to the present day. The path leads past the Friedrich-Franz-Hospiz - the first children's hospital on the Baltic Sea, founded in 1884 by Carl von Mettenheimer, the Grand Duke's personal physician - and thatched cottages, each with its own history.
Grand Duke, pioneers of spa medicine, celebrities such as Kafka and Kästner - Müritz has more to tell than meets the eye. Architecture, anecdotes and little-known facts combine to create a compact journey through time through a place with a remarkable past.
